Two separate groups

The pieces here do two different jobs. One is sitting: La-Z-Boy recliners — fixed, rocking and powered mechanisms, in single, two- and three-seat frames. The other is finishing the room: accent furniture — bedside tables, chests, ottomans and storage benches.

The seating side

With La-Z-Boy the real choice is not the colour or the fabric, it is the mechanism. Fixed models can sit close to a wall, rocking models swing back and forth, and on powered models the back and the footrest adjust independently of each other. Trying all three in the store takes five minutes, and the decision usually makes itself there.

The finishing side

Bedside tables, chests, ottomans and storage benches are all upholstered and drawn from the same swatch book as headboards and bases. Made in the fabric of your bed group, the room looks like it came from one hand; a deliberately contrasting tone works too.
